COMDEX, Las Vegas -- Nokia's newest CDMA handset combines the features most desired by consumers while offering CDMA operators a new choice as they migrate subscribers to new GPS-enabled CDMA2000 1X networks. The new Nokia 3585i phone (CDMA 800/1900MHz/AMPS) features a wide range of personalization options, an enhanced wireless browsing experience and advanced voice functionality. The Nokia 3585i is expected to ship during the first quarter of 2003.
The introduction of GPS capability on the Nokia 3585i phone, which is based on the Nokia CDMA2000 1X chipset, allows Nokia to offer a solution for operators needing to add location enabled handsets to their expression category product offerings.
"Nokia has always stood for offering choices to the market.
