Nextel Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: NXTL) and Motorola Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today introduced the Motorola i205, one of the latest mobile phones allowing users to instantly communicate from coast-to-coast at the touch of a button using Nextel's Nationwide Direct ConnectSM.
The GPS-enabled Motorola i205 mobile phone is designed to serve the needs of business specific customers such as field services, construction and transportation employees requiring basic wireless services without sacrificing the essential features they depend upon to do their jobs. In addition, the phone provides the price conscious customer the choice of a quality communication tool to get the job done.
The i205 handset offers an enhanced phonebook capable of storing 600 contacts and many of the features typically associated with Motorola phones from Nextel including VibraCall(r) alert, a SIM card for easy transfer of information between Nextel(r) phones and downloadable ring tones for audio caller ID that lets users know who is calling without having to look at the phone. The i205 handset is also speakerphone capable.
A selection of ring tones and multi-colored interchangeable face plates are also available and give Nextel customers the power to customize and personalize the Motorola i205 to fit their personal styles, while enabling them to keep in touch with the people and information needed to stay productive and sustain a competitive edge.
