[Bahrain becomes second country in Middle East, behind UAE, to launch 3G services.]

Manama, Bahrain -- "MTC-Vodafone Bahrain formally launched its mobile-telecommunication services Sunday, introducing the third-generation commercial network for the first time in the country.

The new service is offering customers on the island personalized messages, animated chat, video streaming, and multimedia messaging for their mobile phones."
