New Siemens A62, A51, and A53

[Siemens unleashes three new entry-level handsets scheduled for availability in January 2005.]

New Siemens A62:

The new Siemens A62 tri-band GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900) offers Mobile Internet access, WAP 1.2.1, SMS and EMS. Features include enlarged keys, advanced software and up-to-date ergonomic design. It is available in two colors, Denim Blue and Mystic Purple. Weight is 76g, screen size is 101 x 80 pixels with 4K colors. Standby time of 250 hours and talk time of 5 hours, 16-chord polyphonic ring tones, games include MagicPicture and Stack Attack. The A62 will be available throughout Europe, Asia, and Latin America beginning January 2005.

New Siemens A51:

The A51 is described as a no-frills, affordable, chic handset, with user-friendly features. It offers SMS and EMS along with a variety of pre-installed images, sounds and animations. Color is Urban Grey and it weighs 84 g. It offers a variety of exchangeable CLIPit Covers. Games include Stack Attack and Wacko. Additional functions include an alarm clock, quick dial options, hotkeys and an integrated phone book. The A51 offers 250 hours of standby time and 300 minutes of talk time. It is scheduled for release in January 2005 in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

New Siemens A53:

The A53 weighs 84g and comes in a range of colors including Moon Silver and Urban Grey/Silver. It has an array of fun logos and ten integrated polyphonic ring tones. Functions include SMS and EMS. Stand by time of 250 hours and talk time of 5 hours. Games include Stack Attack and Wacko. Additional functions include an alarm clock, quick dial options, hot keys and an integrated phone book. The A53 is scheduled for availability exclusively in Latin America from January 2005.
