Milpitas, Calif. -- GoRemote Internet Communications, Inc., a leader of managed remote network solutions, today announced an agreement with Connexion by Boeing, a business unit of The Boeing Company, that will deliver secure, in-flight access solutions to GoRemote's enterprise customers. This agreement furthers GoRemote's goal of transforming Wi-Fi into a secure and valuable extension of the enterprise network.
This alliance bolsters GoRemote's leadership in delivering complete, integrated and secure managed remote access solutions for enterprise customers. GoRemote offers business professionals the easiest and most secure way to remain productive away from the office, even at 35,000 feet (see today's announcement "GoRemote Creates World's Largest Secure Wireless Access Network") by combining and securing different types of access including in-flight Wi-Fi, free Wi-Fi hotspots, and 3G and cellular connectivity.
"Today's travelers want to remain connected to what's important to them while they are on the road or in the air," said Connexion by Boeing Vice President of Marketing and Direct Sales David Friedman. "Through the GoRemote Mobile Office solution(TM) and the Connexion by Boeing(SM) service, mobile users can increase their productivity and address critical business issues securely, anywhere and anytime."
"Wi-Fi has enabled business to happen everywhere, including in cafes, bookstores and airports and now on in-flight aircraft. In-flight high-speed access is a natural extension for busy professionals who need simple, secure access to the Internet and corporate data," said Tom Thimot, GoRemote president and CEO. "GoRemote's alliance with Connexion by Boeing significantly enhances productivity options for business travelers. This partnership is an essential component of our corporate strategy as we continue to expand the GoRemote Global Network with the goal of providing convenient, accessible and secure service for all remote workers."
