|Qualcomm and SIM sign WCDMA license agreement|

[SIM, a handset design company headquartered in China, has entered into a licensing agreement with Qualcomm to develop and deliver WCDMA modem card products.]
San Diego -- QUALCOMM Incorporated, a leading developer and innovator of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and other advanced wireless technologies, and SIM Technology Group (SIM Tech), a leading independent handset design company headquartered in China, today announced that the companies have entered into a commercial modem card license agreement. Under the terms of the royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted SIM Tech a worldwide license under its CDMA patent portfolio to develop, manufacture and sell certain 3G (including WCDMA) modem card products. The royalties payable by SIM Tech are at QUALCOMM's standard rates.
