Tropos Networks to showcase its MetroMesh Solution at CES

[Tropos Networks announces its heading to CES with a lineup of metro-scale Wi-Fi devices and services in cooperation with MobiTV, Ruckus Wireless, Sony and UT Starcom.]

Sunnyvale -- The digital lifestyle may first have been defined by bulky laptops at Wi-Fi hotspots, but with the growth of the metro-scale Wi-Fi, what's happening now is all about digitally savvy users communicating via an increasingly vast array of mobile multi-media devices and services. The newest trends in the Mobile Internet will be displayed on January 8-11 at Booth #70038 in the International Consumer Electronics Show's (CES's) Mobile Broadband and Content Pavilion at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The showcase is presented by Tropos Networks, the leader in metro-scale mesh networks for the Mobile Internet. Tropos will show the products and applications that are driving the revolutionary changes in the Mobile Internet that fuel today's emerging digital lifestyle.

In addition, Tropos will feature representatives and demonstrations from four of their MetroMesh Solution Partners. Participating partners include:

* MobiTV - MobiTV will demonstrate their television and digital radio service for mobile and broadband enabled devices.

* Ruckus Wireless - Ruckus will preview their new TMCX compliant MetroFlex Wi-Fi modem for long range, consistent connectivity to metro mesh networks.

* Sony Electronics - Sony will display their recently released Wi-Fi enabled mylo(TM) personal communicator devices.

* UT Starcom - UT Starcom will show their new dual mode cellular-Wi-Fi handset as well as their Wi-Fi only handsets.

Plus, visitors can vote on the hottest Mobile Internet trends for 2007 and be entered for a chance to win great new Wi-Fi-enabled Mobile Internet devices.
