Boingo Mobile is available on Motorola’s Wi-Fi enabled Motorola MOTO Q 11 smartphone. The newly announced MOTO Q 11 is the first Motorola phone to be bundled with the Boingo Mobile connection software and service.
Boingo Mobile identifies locations that are part of the Boingo Wi-Fi network and automatically connects users with a Boingo Mobile account. Boingo offers the largest network of hotspots worldwide, including more than 500 airports, thousands of hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, cafés and retail locations.
Motorola is the first handset manufacturer to bundle Boingo Mobile on a Wi-Fi enabled smartphone. Across all manufacturers, the Boingo Mobile portfolio of smartphones includes support for the Windows Mobile, Symbian 60, Maemo Linux and UIQ operating systems.
“This relationship between Boingo and Motorola brings together two leaders with a common vision to deliver seamless and affordable media mobility,” said Colby Goff, senior vice president of strategy and business development for Boingo Wireless. “Boingo Mobile is the perfect service for on-the-go professionals who want high-speed access to their favorite Internet applications. MOTO Q 11 customers connected to Boingo can count on a great online experience.”
For a monthly, flat-fee, Boingo Mobile is a fast and inexpensive connectivity option for multimedia mobile applications such as Web browsing, photo uploads, video streaming and email attachments. Boingo Mobile subscribers enjoy unlimited, global usage for only $7.95, €5.95 or £3.95 per month, with no per-minute or per-megabyte fees, no contracts and no cancellation penalties.
